BBC3 DOGS
Well this thread has generated a lot of noise as is usual when the subject
comes up. I just hope that at least some of you will take the time to write to Advertising Standards to complain about the continuous branding which is done on so many TV channels. These branding DOGS which are displayed for hour after hour are in fact Advertisements and as such exceed by far the amount of advertising allowed on any channel. Emails to broadcasters are just palmed off with stock non-answers and most imply that the use of DOGS will increase. By all means please Write to them but I believe that letters to Advertising Standards will give them the chance to exercise their powers over broadcast content. Richard Hawkins. .. "Heracles Pollux" wrote in message ... "David" wrote in message ... "Heracles Pollux" wrote in message ... I personally doubt they would DOG the primary 5 channels. It makes sense to distinguish these from what is so obviously the trash that is anything digital. On the other hand, given the sort of grade of people that float to the top of TV companies, particularly the BBC, no form of down-market and stupid decisions can be discounted by these philistines. Well time will tell, but I think they will think it an improvement. Also I think Signing for the deaf will increase too. -- Regards, David Please reply to News Group Amid the current buzz/wank words of "Interactive TV", "User Generated Content", "Audience Participation", and "BBC shareholders", isn't amazing how little say the audience actually has! ;-) |

The snail mail address is in tiny print at the bottom of the opening page. This would probably have more effect than using the web methods but why not try both. Richard, |
