Have Discovery macrovisioned some of their channels?

Hadn't thought of power-cycling the Sky box - will try that.

That worked on my Panny over Christmas when it decided that Channel 4
was Macrovisioned.

It didn't work in my case, though.

I'm beginning to think it may be a dodgy scart though, as I could record
the problem channels on my old VCR.

DVD and VHS are not the same in this. You can record from the Pay as
you watch channels with a vcr but not with a dvd from what I've heard
and what you're experiencing is very similar. That doesn't mean it
isn't the scart though.
