He reckoned that there was nothing I could cook that he couldn't get
through. That was, until tonight. Here are pics of the mixed grill I
cooked for him. Despite that the last pic looks like he did quite
well, he did, in fact leave a lot more but emptied his plate first for
the photo.

He even gave me £20 for the pleasure :-)

Wot no beans? Or are they underneath something?

There are peas instead of beans. You can't mix peas & beans! That's
just weird!

It is a weird thought. (I must try it one day.)

Having admired mixedgrill1.jpg for the third time (what diameter is that
plate? 18in?), I wonder, would it be OK for me to print off a few glossy
prints and proffer them to the Turkish maitre d at a local caff to give
him inspiration for a dish of the day? At the moment it is just mousaka,
lamb hotpot, chicken something, mousaka, lamb hotpot, chicken
somethingelse, etc.

It is a good caff, but doesn't produce a breakfast that is substantial
enough. Mixedgrill1 is, and should point him in the right direction with
minimal explanation. It should be good fun haggling over the price, too.

Well I've heard that a good cook never cooks beans and peas in the same pot.
