If I actually understand what you are asking...and if you are in the
U.S.A...

First, a little good news: Samsung is producing a new ATSC tuner
that replaces the SIR-T451 you probably are thinking of. The new
model should run about $180.

Next, the antenna you need will depend on your location (how
close to the trasmitters), and on what channels your local stations
send their signals. If you are not close to the transmitters, you will
also want to budget for a pre-amp to go with the antenna.

Go to www.antennaweb.org to determine where your local
trasmitters are and to get a recommendation on the kind of
antenna. Most DTV/HDTV is in the UHF range, so you'll definitely
need a UHF capable antenna. If you also have one or more
stations in the VHF range (ch. 2 - ch. 13), you'll need antenna
that is also VHF capable. (Usually that means having long arms.)

www.solidsignal.com is one place I've used to buy antenna stuff.

My recommendations:
For a small indoor antenna, try a Zenith Silver Sensor.
For UHF only and moderate range, the Antennas Direct DB2, DB4,
and DB8 work well. Plus the DB2 is small enough for some indoor
or balcony use.
For VHF/UHF combo for moderate range, my favorite is the
Antennas Direct V4 MKII.
For long range, you'll really need a large capable antenna like
a Wineguard 7082P.
Finally, if you need a pre-amp, the Channel Master 7777 is my
personal favorite.

All told, you'll probably spend between $35 and $300 for the
antenna, pre-amp, cable, and mounting. Compared to the
price of monthly cable or satellite service bills, the antenna
approach is still quite a bargain.

Happy shopping.

All Tv's above 25" now have built in HDTV (digital ATSC) tuners. Best Buy
has a 27" on sale now for $199.95. It's a stndard dfination TV but plays
HDTV just like an HDTV but in a lower resoulution (SD).

There is no special HDTV antenna. The signals come over the same
channels as regular UHF/VHF TV. If your current antenna works well for
regular NTSC analog TV then it should work well for digital ATSC. If any
of your UHF stations or not clear, then you will likely need a better
antenna. Don't worry about the lower vhf channels (2-6).

BTW, where did you find an HDTV ready TV for $250?

I hope you realize that this is a 19" widescreen. meaning when viewing
regular content the 4:3 screen size will be about 16". Take your $200 and
spend it on a 19" 4:3 monitor.
