ComCast HD Box

I currently have Comcast HD here in seattle. But The only local channel that
is in HD is KOMO ABC channel 4. I was wondering if I just purchased an OTA
Antenna; and hooked it to the comcast HD box; will i be able to get the OTA
broadcast? or do I have to get an HD reciever box?

Thanks.

Billy

You'll need a different box!

Which is one more reason DirecTV is a better choice than cable.
Hooking up an antenna allows one to receive all the HD stations in Seattle OTA.

An OTA set up is fairly inexpensive (less than the HD gear from DirectTV)
and can be had for $80 depending on your needs (if you live in an area
where you can put it up). Of course, there is the expense of the tuner if
you don't have one.

I get 11 stations that offer digital service and the majority offer at least
some HD programing. All told, I get 17 stations including analog on the
OTA.

That and Comcast offering 8 channels at +$5 month (including a some
duplicate locals ABC/NBC/KQED) where Direct charges what, about +$10, I
would say the better choice is depending on the circumstances.
