Buying a New HDTV Pansonic Plasma from Costco Factory 2NDs ????
 

Hey all

This is mike from redwood city Ca.
I heard a rumor that someone that worked at Costco. Had said that the
eletronics from Costco are actually factory seconds does anyone know
about this, or is just a rumor??
I have bought many electronics from Costco, A Toshiba laptop and a
Viso HDTV and a wonderful Sony DVD player with HDMI god its Great.

But now I want to buy a Pansonic Plasma HDTV from Costco it has the
best Prices.
And I have read there the best no nosense HDTV.

Can anyone please Advise.

I am not a lawyer, but I think it is illegal to sell refurbished
products as new.

However, I helped a next door neighbor select a printer for an Xmas gift
last year. The choice was a Konica Minolta 2400W and Costco had the
best price. The item was shipped from the factory to her door and when
it arrived it was labeled "refurbished."

After checking carefully to make sure she hadn't missed any fine print,
she called and complained. She received numerous apologetic calls back
from both Costco and Konica Minolta. A replacement unit was air shipped
and arrived the next day and they paid for return of the refurbished unit.

The moral is if you think you are buying new and you get refurbished,
return it. I am not currently a Costco member, I was several years ago.

I bought my Toshiba Plasma from Costco earlier this year. Never a
problem and as far as I can tell it was brand new when I bought it.

Costcos return policy is awsome so I didn't fear buying it from them.
