As I have said Bill needs to keep off the ale, especially when on
co-proxamol.

We all know Bill posts on here ****ed - it is his hobby, he just ought
not to mix his drugs. In fact to give Bill the benefit of the doubt,
he probably had no idea what he was posting and regrets the posts he
made the ended up with the BNP supporting him - I could be wrong
though and he is a "fellow traveller"

Now you've annoyed me, you little turd.

Bill has a long provenace here; I don't need to defend him, so I won't.

Bill admits to posting drunk, that is a fact. To be honest though I
would not be surprised if this is someone imitating Bill which if that
is the case I can only appologise. However, whoever wrote the words
pertaining to be Mr Wright is indeed amongst the lowest form of pond life.

What stone did you just slime out from under, with accusations like that?

Excuse me, left look at this thread and the posts from the usenet user
going under the name of "Bill Wright"

"So there we have it, they've admitted it. The environmental bandwagon
is riddled with scumbags who want to undermine society and have us all
living in caves. The same scumbags who have found shelter over the years
in various extreme left political parties, the CND, various anti-racist
movements, etc. So many good causes have been taken over by these
nutters and have lost all credibility as a result."

So in Bills very explicit words

The green party are scumbags.
CND were scumbags.
Anti-racists are scumbags

That is just his first post. Then is denial or ignorance of this
country's history and colonial theft:

"What's ours is ours and we need to preserve it for our
future generations, not give it all away to anyone who turns up on our
shores to colonise us"

There is the usual unsubstantiated BNP line

"This country is sliding into a multicultural morass."

Note the lack of explanation, qualification or a single fact just an
abhorrent opinion. There is the paranoia

"The media in this country are infested with lefties, especially the
BBC. That's why we have to endure so much PC ********. The kids are
being brainwashed as well."

Note the careful use off 'infested' and 'brainwashed', again lacking in
explanation, qualification etc, this is a pattern oft seen.

"I need my country back." - likewise unqualified.

"Look, if it wasn't for the USA we'd be speaking German, and lefties
like you would have been rounded up and shot a long time ago." - lunacy?

"I've no doubt that we'll be foreigners in our own country." - heard
that before from less than honourable people.

"No, we always had an innate sense of fairness and justice." - history
denial.

It is also Bill that complains open dicussion is not allowed - yet he
just spouts well used rhetoric of the BNP, immigration watch and their ilk.

I might not k/f you till the end of this thread, as I may want to see just
how disgusting you can get, but afterwards I never want to hear any of your
spew again

Please look up disgusting in a dictionary.

In a US restaurant, the first thing you get when you sit down is a glass
of iced water, whether you want it or not. This presumably comes from a
tap, or maybe a filtered supply, at little or no marginal cost. In the
UK, unless you specify otherwise, it's more likely to come out of a
bottle which costs money

In the UK, tap water is quite safe to drink. Restaurants do have an
aversion to serving it, free, when they can make a mark up on the bottled
stuff.

Coincidentally I was in a UK Hotel Lobby today which in which was one
of those Water coolers with the big plastic bottle on top.
Showing a sense of humour not normally found in such premises the
Bottle was labeled in fancy lettering as Eau De Tap.
Underneath in smaller but still easily readable lettering there was
further information the gist of which was that this water originates
in Chalk Beds some 10 miles away from where it is gathered ,its
quality checked and then sent down pipes to our premises to a tap from
which we fill this bottle. We then cool it for your enjoyment. please
help yourself.
Nice to see a no nonsense approach.

I like that. Firstly because it tells me that the owner is being brutally
honest with his customers. This is something that is a bit of a luxury
really when you're in business and dealing with the public. If you're
struggling it's all too easy to be a bit disingenuous, because you're
desperate to not offend anyone. But when you're well established you don't
give a **** and you can tell it like it is. In my experience this gives you
a better class of customer because the perceptive people realise what you're
at. The shallow ones and the thickos go elsewhere. It was a great relief
when I realised many years ago that I didn't need to slant the truth when
talking to customers. Telling it like it is is great! "Look, the job will
achieve (a), (b), and (c). It won't achieve (d), (e), or (f) and it will
cost £x. It will be done right. End of sales pitch."

Secondly (I bet you'd forgotten this was a list) it suggests that the owner
or manager has a streak of individuality. I'm very interested in British
pubs and hotels. As well as the architecture and the beer many of them have
such idiosyncrasies.Really, it's one of the glories of this country. The
best pubs are run by genial madmen. I bet lots of you can think of pubs full
of delightful ecccentrity.

But small pubs and hotels are threatened, of course, by big business. It's
getting harder and harder to make an independent pub or hotel pay.
Government local and national provides no help and considerable hindrance,
in the form of red tape. One of our own village pubs looks likely to close.
We should all support village locals when we can. They are part of our
culture.

Bill

Indeed,
Cannot remember if i have related this tale on here before but
not too far away is a Pub run by a genial Irishman.
For many years he and some friends always went to one of the Big horse
racing events at Cheltenham and booked into a fairly posh hotel for
the weekend. He always had to book a long time in advance.
Then during the time of the Foot and Mouth outbreak the event was
canceled. He rightly expected that having been a loyal customer for
many years he would be able to cancel the booking and get some money
back but the hotel would not return enough to his satisfaction.
So he kept the rooms he booked. Then rang up a priest he knew who ran
a shelter for the Homeless in the area and said if some of the chaps
want a bit of luxury this weekend then there are a few rooms at the
XYZ Hotel going fully paid. After the first night the Hotel rang him
offering to cancel, he refused. uses a different hotel now.
Another Landlord I knew many years ago disappeared suddenly and then
turned up on telly in a sticky spot.He had gone Angola to be a
Mercenary.
