CAPTURE OTA HDTV FROM SAMSUNG STB USING 1394, THEN DIVX ENCODE
 

I'm trying to acquire some recorded HDTV content using my OTA
receiver. Has anyone figured this out yet? I started down the path
of Vivid Logic's 1394 HD PVR software on my laptop, but it complained
that I was running Windows 2000 instead of XP. I'll try this with an
XP computer later. What is the file format used by the Vivid Logic
PVR? Anyone get the transport stream from the STB (Samsung SIRT165)
into a file that the Divx encoder will accept? Or Windows Media 9?
