Is film4 free now ?
"Roderick Stewart" wrote in message om... In article , Brian Wescombe wrote: Yes indeedy. The Guardian film and TV critics speak highly of film4. However, real film fans avoid it as they crop 2.35:1 films to fit a 16:9 screen. And they break the films up with adverts too. My memory may be playing tricks but I thought that when Film 4 started they made a fuss out of the fact that they were a specialist film channel that respected their product sufficiently to show it without any butchery. Now they're just the same as any other TV channel with the exception of the single fact that they only show one kind of programme. I guess they need adverts to pay for the channel, but they can't be forgiven for cropping. |
