Can someone please advise? A friend of mine died recently and his
wife asked me to have a look at the TV as she did not know how to
work it. I found that she has Sky Plus (since 2002) and pays £40 per
month. She wants to cancel this subscription and simply watch the
Freeview channels. Because of the situation of her house she can
only receive TV via satellite. What does she need to do to cancel
this current subscription and only view free to air channels?

Any help appreciated.

Peter

Call them on 0870 850 2802 and ask to cancel. I think you can get the
sky equivalent of Freeview for a one-off payment of £20 for the card
at the same time.

Why would you need a new card? An ex-subscription card will decode the FTV
channels.
