Hiya, Who would I contact at Sky to ask them about broadcasting an Israeli radio station? I would very much like to listen to radio tel-aviv over sky and want to know if they would broadcast it. Many thanks, Shaun I doubt there would be any point in contacting Sky. Your best bet would be to email Radio Tel-Aviv directly. Failing that you could listen via the internet. http://israelradio.lihi.co.il/?gclid...FR1rEgodwjqbhw -- Adrian |

Many thanks, Shaun erm,..... perhaps you should contact the radio station itself - sky dont broadcast radio as a charity - the radio stations have to ask to be carried, and then pay for it to happen. then the radio station asks itself if financially it makes sense.... -- Gareth. The problem is many people have been brainwashed into thinking Sky own the satellites and Sky broadcast all the channels, most channels have nothing to do with Sky other than paying them to be listed on their propriety EPG, and if part of a package to collect/share subscription fees. People don't realise that these channels are sent to an uplink provider without Sky's involvement and uplinked to the Astra/Eutelsat satellites without Sky's involvement. -- DVD rental: www.southeastbirmingham.co.uk/dvd PAYG Mobile Offers: www.southeastbirmingham.co.uk/payg Items for sale: www.dodgy-dealer.co.uk |

Sky don't broadcast *any* radio stations, although you can use a Sky box to receive radio stations via the Astra satellites. snipped bits-----
I stand corrected - I hadn't heard of that one. Its format is meant for other radio stations to use, like CNN Radio and IRN. There's a 3 minute bulletin on the hour with silence on either side, with a sequence of "cuts" broadcast at certain times during the hour. -- Paul Martin Current cost of an Radio EPG place on $ky is just over £20 k per year plus uplink costs and VAT . must be great to have a monopoly ! |
