Actually, I've enjoyed learning how (or
attempting to learn how) to post large binaries. The process even
prompted me to subscribe to Giganews so I could have a fast connection
to newsgroups. Just $13 a month for two gigabytes of downloads per
month. The problem is that at these new fast speeds, I probably
downloaded a fourth of that last night. I may need to sign up for
unlimited. We'll see.

$13 a month for 2GB? That's expensive. EasyNews is $10/mo. for 20 GB
and APN is $15/mo. for unlimited. I have both (because I need more
than the 4 simultaneous connections each offers to max out my 15 Mbps
FIOS service) but I'm thinking of dropping them for GigaNews
unlimited, which would give much better retention and more connections
for the same price.

I just checked the GN site. $13 should buy you 25 GB; 2GB is only $8.

I wish I could claim "typo" but in fact I had somehow remembered signing
up for 2 GB instead of 25 GB. You are correct, of course, and boy am I
glad.

I've been looking through the messages and yet to find the URL of
where the images were posted, or to what newsgroup.

Can some one "refresh" the location that an interested party might
browse to in order to download?

Sorry to be a pain, but there are many discussions about the upload,
but no URL that I can find so far.

Thanks.

alt.binaries.hdtv

It's in the thread, but early on.

Bill:

You've apparently gone to a LOT of work to get these files, and I
can't find them!

Are they still out there, or can you tell me again where in the world
to link to them?

Thanks for the work and the info if you can.

They're in the newsgroup alt.binaries.hdtv. They're rar files. The
subject is Shuttle Launch 4 July 2006. There are 27 parts in two
uploads -- two, because I had to reboot in the middle of everything.
There are also some Par files. The date on the files is 2006-07-05.
That's about all I can tell you. If you don't have access to
alt.binaries.hdtv, well, I don't know what to say. Maybe others here
will have some advice.
