E4 Pop Up Hell

Grrr.

E4 were popping up a "LIVE" interactive button every minute during Lost
tonight on Sky.
Then they started popping up a "Free DVD" offer on top of that

What's with this pop up hell????

I'm going to fire off an angry mail to them - I hope it was just a one-off
or I'll not watch Lost on E4 and wait for the Region 1 DVD to come out in
September. (Just kidding!!!)

They probably have realised that people have set their digiboxes to have the
prompt timout and so have set it to reappear every minute.

Yes, I guessed that too.
It was bound to happen at some time.
Doubly annoying though when people waited for so long for Sky to provide the
option to time them out, so now broadcasters just make them re-appear more
frequently :-(

on a similar subject, watching the star trek 'digitally remastered' original
series just now, some bloody advert popped up at the bottom of the screen
for maybe 10 seconds, then faded out again.

Sci-fi channel? that's to be expected. One of the reasons I stoped watching,
along with no widescreen and no MST3K.

I'm pretty sure that's against the rules. It's certainly obnoxious,
either way.

I *almost* got used to the adverts in Star Trek (the original series
on the BBC just can't be beaten!) but that damn "pop up" totally
ruins the viewing experience.

its a joke as they trumpet on about 'digitally remastered' for this series,
then spread crap all over it!
I am within a gnats tadger of cancelling and just paying the tennner for
Sky+

email and complain, and keep doing it, though they will at first say
that viewers prefer to have these reminders!
