E4 on Freesat?

Just had Freesat installed to our existing sky dish. On the website it does
not have E4 listed as a channel, yet on the EPG it does have E4. The
engineer said that some channels will not be available until I get my
viewing card through in a few days. When I go to E4 it says please insert
viewing card.
Will I be able to get E4?

AFAIK, no. Subscription only on Free Satellite from Sky (if that is what you
mean)
Same for More 4.

F*cking f*ckers. Would have been better off with freeview but we needed an
expensive aerial upgrade so this freesat was the cheaper option.
Oh well. No great loss I am sure :-)

No. Like More4 it is only available to Sky subscribers. The EPG will list all
the channels on the Sky platform once you insert your viewing card. I think the
idea is that you will be tempted to subscribe to Sky once you see all the fine
programmes that they are broadcasting.

Well damn them. I am not paying another sub. Sky already get enough out of
us each month.

Blame Ch4 for the deal they did with the devil, however I doubt it will be
subscription for ever.

Yeah wasn't there a loophole in the contract or something about it being sub
only on all sky services? Not sure on the facts but I think I am vaguely
there.

If you already have Sky it's only another 10 pounds per month for a mirror
subscription.

Yeah but after paying the £50 for the box, I would only get 12 months of
service for the same price. We already have one multiroom and a sky+ sub.
Really don't want to be paying more in the long run.

C4 did agree to those two channels being via subscription on Sky.
Probably to get a discount on the encryption/EPG charge.

Film4 is going FTV in a couple of weeks and I would expect the other
C4 channels to follow as soon as possible.
