HD: Great but....

For some reason I can't record the BBC HD demo channel.

(and there's some specacular looking stuff on it)

I'm not that bothered, but thin end of the wedge and all that, it's
somewhat worrying that a channel can just disallow you recording it.

What next? Before long they eliminate *all* recording?

I wonder what the HD Sign Zone will be like, where you can't see the wonderful
picture because some fat woman is standing in the way of it, flailing her arms
about!

The opportunities to vandalise our screens with more on-screen **** must
have Andi Peters, Roly Keating, and Stuart Murphy drooling even now, Dom.

May I ask how and on what equipment you want to record this?

What do you expect from a device that is deliberately slugged so as
not to work correctly?

The Sky+ and SkyHD boxes should both record and playback all channels,
all the time, without any sort of sub or card or authorisation being
needed as they are both capable of doing so out of the box. Until this
happens you can expect constant problems.

Goto manual recording settings in the services menu then you can set it
up to record BBC HD.

I assume using the HD digibox Sky+ function.

Wow, that's really interesting, because of course everyone must have
missed the last few hundred times you said it....

Just like he berates the newbies for asking questions..............

What i dont understand about Jomtien & others like him. They all subscribe to a sky newsgroup, in fact
some 'own' the said NG. But all they do is berate sky & others. Get a grip. If i don't like wiping my
arse with nettles, i dont do it!

Sky can be terrible, ever dealt with BT????

Great name, and of course neatly sidesteps the Gumball 'trademark' and
associated massive expense. What was once the greatest one-fingered
salute to traffic legislation, has become a big party for the
super-rich. I doubt if Bo and Luke could scrape up 4 grand, never mind
40, but wouldn't everyone love to see General Lee in a Gumball? Or
Kowalski in the mighty white Challenger?
