New Dear 622 Receiver
Well, they *finally* came out to hook up the Dish Network HD system
after waiting nearly a month. I had all the cables run so it was just a matter of changing the dish and receiver. They now only use one dish, but tech support told me two so I had an extra RG-6 run. They used the same mount and just replaced the dish and feed horns which made that a quick job. Unfortunately when the installer hooked up the new 622 dual tuner/DVR it came up with a catastrophic disk error, couldn't find the signals, and then wouldn't reboot at all. The 622s are on back order so I don't know when the new one will arrive. It's just as well the installer was the one doing...well.. the installing and it's under warranty. What seems strange is the HD receiver only comes with the standard video/audio output cables even though it has an HDMI cable connector although a strange looking one and that is the one the instructions say to use.
