Well....as much as I hate the *******, he is running the show (at least
on paper) and he is going to address a subject that is a turning point
for this country.

If they don't seal the border we might as well surrender to Mexico.

To answer the question without political responses, unlikely. The 2006
State of the Union speech was carried in HD by most of the broadcast
networks (ABC, NBC, CBS, but not FOX or PBS, IIRC), but that was because
ABC provided the pool cameras and provided a choice of a HD or SD feed.
Unless the White House TV setup has recently been upgraded with HD
cameras and all the accompanying gear, it won't be in HD. So the short
answer is probably not.

LOL. The best/cheapest/logical solution would be to invite Mexico to
become the 51st state. Set the new US border at the southern tip of
Mexico. Immigration problem solved.

KAET (PBS Tempe AZ) has three OTA broadcast channels in the HD Band,
although one (8-3) is a video poster of it's FM station. The speech was
broadcast on 8-2 which is PBS SD and not on PBS HD (8-1) which probably
confirms the above

Damn, I was hoping PBS HD would have something worthwhile on too :-)
