Are letters for real?

It is always amusing to read the banal letters sent in to the Sky
magazine which has popped through the post today. But surely they are
not serious or real.

Quote from today

Robert Carlyle was great in full Monty...

Conveniently Sky have a feature on him and his new show. So we are to
believe that a member of the public this last month was seized with
the urge to write in about Robert just at the time his new programme
is hitting the airways.

Same goes for the frankly more disturbing letter above it about
Eammon's Holme autobiography.

Real letters or blatant advertising?

Wasn't there a case a while back when there was a letter from someone saying
how much they loved watching something etc before it had actually been
broadcast?

You remember correctly, a quick search on google groups found

A few months ago a 'letter'
congratulated Sky for an excellant film they'd shown that actually
didn't recieve its premiere till a month after the magazine was
published.

No not a month it was two days. However that was enough to show that they
make the letters up, no surprise there. Many other magazines do the same
thing.

Dear penthouse, I was on my way to work as a binman when a gorgeous
blonde appeared from behind a bush in the nude. Imagine my surprise to
find she had a large card across her face bearing the announcement
"See more of Gorgeous blonde on pages 12,13,14,15 &16 & watch out for
more gorgeous blondes in our next issue!"

Was this an ad for the Gorgeous Blond Simpsons Episode Next Sunday?

And if it was only across her face, would anyone have noticed?

They're certainly separated - I don't know if the divorce is finalised
yet.

I got the impression from the show that Nick was more interested in TV
sports than he was in Jessica. FFS - if I was married to her I'd just
tape the game and go f*ck her stupid!

.... oh wait, perhaps there's a better expression in this case. :)

Well, there's no need to call Jessica stupid :)
