What you can do is select up to 50 (I think) 'Favourite' channels and use a 'Favourites' EPG which displays only the selected channels. This does effectively prevent display of unwanted channels in the EPG. It does more than that if you "want" more than 50 channels to be displayed in the EPG. |

The inability to do that is a long-standing complaint from people with strong religious beliefs and a reason why faith groups offer standard (non-Sky) receivers. Since a recent software upgrade! I'm surprised if Sky have only just added Favourites EPG too: it's a fairly common feature on non-Sky boxes for years. -- MJR/slef Sat FAQ: http://mjr.towers.org.uk/comp/astefaq.txt |

What's the catch with FREESAT

A number of my friends and relations signed up for it in 2000/1. They have never had any Sky marketing droids contact them. It's only in the last couple of years Sky have used some 'spin' and named the package 'FreesatFromSky' (and increased the cost from 99 to 150 quid). If you've *been* a Sky subscriber, then that's a different matter . I ditched Sky+ in November 2005. Over the last month Sky have tried to phone me on a daily basis. Normally when I'm out ! My wife and lads have answered, Sky refuse to tell them what they want with me. When they have phoned and I've been in, I simply ignore the phone. They use an 0800 CLID number. I think they've given up for the moment again. :-) |
