HR10-250 memory issue

Is there any way to tell how much of the hard drive that you currently
are using? My father has a comcast DVR and it a memory meter that can
be viewed when you go into the show list. Does the HR10-250 have
anything like this?

Hard drive space is not memory. It is storage. Unless you've "hacked"
your unit and added TiVoWeb or TivoWebPlus, the answer is no, not
directly.

You can go into "Now playing", and manually add up all your recordings
and subtract from the total available storage.

And just to augment Jack's note, if you have suggestions turned on, that
will give you an idea of how much "free" space you have until your shows
start to get deleted (since all suggestions will be deleted before any of
your shows are touched.)

I highly recommend TiVoWebPlus. I installed it today on my HR10-250
with the instructions from http://www.mastersav.com/tivo_zipper.html .
Here's the sort of information you can get from TWP:
