MHEG application?
Well I'd like to see series and episode numbers at least, particularly
when two series of Smallville are running at once. |
MHEG application?

: It seems amazing to me that one still can't get the same information about programmes from MHEG that one can get from the Radio Times. I think I'd actually be willing to pay £5 pm subscription if I could press a couple of buttons on my remote and get: Cast list Writer / Director etc. Accurate info as to whether a programme is a repat and when it was previously shown ((and when it will be repeated). I'm with you on the last of those, since that actually is information about that particular broadcast, and it's information that the broadcaster might be expected to know. And it would only need a few extra bytes, so it wouldn't take up much bandwidth. While you're there, it would also be useful to have a link to the next programme in any series, so you could press one button to record episode 3, and then press another button to make the device automatically record all the other episodes in the series. Or you could press one button to record tonight's 10 O'Clock news and another to record every 10 O'Clock news. However, the other two things you asked for would be better served by putting the information on the web and including a link, or a unique code for the programme. As someone else pointed out, this is what the IBDB provides Simon. -- http://www.hearsay.demon.co.uk |

You can edit Recording schedule to do it daily, weekly etc. But it just repeats that timeslot without referring to the EPG.
