Fixed or variable audio outputs

My mum got use a freeview box a while ago which seems to have variable
from what your saying, freeviews like digital tv if your not from the
uk
I plugged it into a guitar head amp with 2 200watt speakers, obviously
i never need it that amount of noise and the amp isnt actualy big
enough for them, however the variable comes in handy as it means we
dont have to walk across the room to change the volume

and you may think guitar amp! is he mad! its more of a mixer amp thing
meant for vocals as well as guitars, but it actualy sounds better than
the tv speakers and just as good as a rack amp iv got, and being able
to turn it up means when i put radio on i can listen to it anywhere in
the house without having speakers everywhere. plus the guitar amp has
built in eqaulisers on each channel (6 channel) where as the rack amp
needs a mixing desk

so i spose you could say their both as good as each other but for use
with dfferent equipment
