Watching HD on laptop question ?

Is this a possibility ? I know you can rent/download HD movies from
Movielink. Is there a minimum processor and ram requirement for this ? I'd
also like to hook it up to my 50 inch Samsung dlp set Thanks

I don't know how you could rent HD movies as there isn't a media available
yet that will hold the amount of data a 2 hour HD movie would be, about
15G. AN dyou better have on heck of a fast server and client to DL one.
Even using fios 5/2M here would take me about 7 hours to DL a 2 hour
movie. My old 768K DSL connection would take about 45 hrs. to DL the same
2 hr. movie. I think you're talking about dvd quality, and not HD.

HD requires about a 2.8GHz cpu or about 1.8Ghz if you had hardware help.

You can download trailers to give it a try. There are also movies that you
can rent or buy in HD that use Windows compression.

I would be surprised if you can download HD movies from any service on the
net until there is more DRM in place.
