Colour bleed on Panasonic DVD recorder

I recorded two episodes of desperate housewives last week at Long play
(4hr) speed. Dark scenes are unwatchable, the colour drains out of the
picture so much of it is black and white. I have not noticed this on
any other recording at this speed, so I assume it is related to the
broadcast itself. Both were recorded on freeview, one on C4 and another
on E4. I havent had the chance to record the show from a Satellite
broadcast yet.

Is this likely to be a poor NTSC conversion, or a problem in general
with freeview?

cheers
Ed

I bought a Daewoo last September and
I can't fault it.Dvdr/Vcr.

I record most things on 4 hour
rec.speed with films under two
hours on two hour format.Occasionally
I use one hour rec.speed for a
documentary etc.Six hour does give
a deterioration in quality but I
only tried that once.Tape to disc
is very good too.

The picture was perfect on my Freeview receiver, can't fault it.

I've had a panasonic dvd recorder for over a year and no problems with
recording long play on freeview.

NTSC is the US standard and not broadcasted over here, probably a faulty
unit.
