Alba channel memory
Just got a cheap Freeview box (Albe STB2NS) from Tesco to see what it's
all about. It seems to work ok, but one thing is a nuisance - it looses some of its channels if the power goes off. I've only looked at the 'main' channels but when it reboots, BBC channels are all ok, but ITV ones are usually not working - it indicates good signal strength but no picture or data. Sometimes C5 is missing as well. If I do a fresh scan all is ok again. I'd assumed that the channel info. would go into the flash memory and survive a power cut, so is this box faulty, or it is showing normal behaviour? If the latter, are there alternative cheap boxes that do keep their memory? Thanks Steve |

BTW they do go bananas if a mobile phone is within 6 feet. -- Mark Please replace invalid and invalid with gmx and net to reply. |
