Introduce a friend for sheer grief!

Now trust me i'm not a winger and normally use the nice approach to get
things done, however I'm about to blow at Sky.

1) I took up the introduce a friend offer, got my number and booked my
install for Saturday.
2) Saturday came, no call from engineer. Rang Sky they said he'd be round
between 1pm and 4pm. Now one came. Sky rang to say it will be tomorrow
instead.
3) Sunday came, no call from engineer. Rang Sky they said he'd be round
between 1pm and 4pm. Again, rang Sky to chase. Still nothing. Rang again, a
helpful person from Sky rang and had a go at the engineer company. Credited
my account £20. Said it would be next saturday definitely. She was very good
I must say.
4) Saturday came, No call from engineer. Rang Sky, they chased. Engineer
came round at 1pm, installed box. It was faulty.
5) Engineer said he will get another brand new box and bring round Sunday.
6) Engineer came round, stank of beer, installed box. He gauranteed it was
new, but funily enough it had no cables, remote etc. Again faulty. Left box
with me as I just wanted him out my house. Checked packaging. The box was a
refurb!
7) Rang engineer. He said he'd come round again next Monday.

That's two weekends screwed, two boxes faulty, and I predict more
inconvenience next week. I wish I never took up this offer as it's been a
nightmare all through. The only reason I'm not giving up is that they owe me
a box, free or not, so I'm going to get one. I may die of frustration in the
process though.

Anyone know how you make official complaints to Sky. There's nothing on
their site. Can you request a different engineer?

Am I being over the top expecting some one to come round when they say and
bring a working box ? That's all I ask.

:-(

Phone Sky customer services, Ask for Lee McIlduff. He is head of Sky
customer services and handels complaints well. He will get things done
for you to the point of contacting an independent company to complete
the install and having a new box sent to you for them to install.

Regards
Glenn...

LOL!, I read that totally different,
"Hello is this that sky, Can I speak to Mcduff please?" Certainly sounds
right for Sky and a Scot working up there to be called that ;-)

Should'nt that me Meboxesduff?
