Permanently removing PIN number?
A few weeks ago my Sky+ started doing something new. Although I had made no changes in the Parental Control section, films recorded at night suddenly began to require my PIN number to be viewed during the day, which is a bit of a nuisance. I have tried cleaning out the Sky Planner by doing a full system reset, but the problem remains. All the boxes in the Parental Control section are unchecked. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance to anyone who replies. Tim |

It is activated if you try and watch a movie in the daytime, if that movie had a 15 or 18 rating (I think, though it might be any movie, cant recall) , and you recorded it after 8 or 9pm (because movies with thsoe ratings wouldnt be shown before those times). At the moment I dont believe there is a way round it, it is rumoured that a later s/w update will either remove this restriction entirely, or let you switch it off. you can google this group a few weeks back there was a lot of discussion on it then. But the upshot is, nothing you can do about it ATM. -- Tumbleweed email replies not necessary but to contact use; tumbleweednews at hotmail dot com |
