BBC 1 prog times wrong ?

Hi

Almost every BBC 1 program we record on a 2nd version Pace Sky+ seems to
start early and finish early, meaning we lose the end of it.

I've adjusted for time either way, but it's still the same.
Every other channel seems OK so it must be BBC, but I haven't heard of
anyone else with this problem.

Peter

My wife taped something the other night that needed to finish at about
the right time for a switch over and she lost the end of the first
program. Can't recall what it was though except it was on the bbc

IME BBC2 are usually crap at time keeping as well. You'll just have to
adjust the buffer to be larger. And perhaps write to the BBC asking why they
can't afford a clock, possibly giving examples of where they have broadcast
at the incorrect time.

Had this exact same problem, with the last few mins of a programme being
'cut off' - VERY annoying especially with the final episode of 'Elizabeth'
(g/f went baserk when it cut before the end!). I added 10 mins to the end
of recordings but the problem persists (sometimes SKY+ seems to ignore that
setting). Come to think of it I've never had the problem on other
channels, although I have had time missing from the START of recordings
(again despite the 10 min supposedly added beforehand) on other channels.

It's ****e. I just hope SKY fix some of these basics in the next update,
instead of giving us a slightly different colour blue behind the menus, or a
pointless PIN entry on recorded films.

Is it because of the unique way the BBC is funded?

Dont blame Sky (for late recordings) its the other channels that **** up,
esp IME BBC. If they broadcast at a different time and/or dont update the
EPG, they are the ones who should get the flak.
