Hi guys,

My Fusion 150 died on me the w/e. Had it for 8 months. Returned to argos
and swapped it for a Sagem 72xxx - piece of crap, horrible looking thing,
does not record two channels at once, slow.. but at least it was quiet.

Anyway, just got my money back and went to Comet and bought the new Humax.
What a difference! still quiet, lovely interface and records two, watch one!
(same mux of course). Loads of extra features like pip etc. I'd recommend
getting one. I was going to go for the topfield, but happy I went with
this. Comet support line say stores don't have them, but they do!

Cheers,

Matt

Was there any other reason than the price that you went for Humax instead of
Topfield?

Picture-in-picture probably. Displays a smaller picture in the corner of
the screen whilst you watch a main screen.

Does anyone know what the energy consumption is like? I don't wanna get a
PVR which costs a bomb to run - i.e. is it going to be more economical than
a Windows Media Center?

Also, what happens when HD comes in - will this box handle it?

Thanks ;)

Spec says 28W max, 11W standby.

I didn't think there were any plans for HD on Freeview.

How do you record season passes on the Humax - surely you don't program each
recording individually every week?

Repeat recordings can be set daily or weekly.
