Can non-glare screen be removed from Toshiba DLP?
I have a Toshiba 46HM84 DLP TV. I am bothered by the effect the
non-glare screen has on the picture. I don't know exactly how to describe it except that it may be similar to the LCD screen door effect people talk about. Toshiba describes the screen as "TheaterFine DFP (Digital Fine Pitch) Screen with Anti-Glare Coating". Since Toshiba says the screen is "coated", does this mean that it's applied direrectly to the projection screen instead of being a seperate sheet of mateial? (My old set was a Panasonic CRT rear projector that had a non-glare protective screen installed on it. I was bothered by this same effect and removed it without problem.) I sure would like to get rid of that somehow and hope someone knows the answer. Thanks, Jim |
