Phoning Sky for PIN
 

Aaargh!

I've been in the queue for over an hour now on the phone to Sky to find out
my PIN (its not the last 4 of my viewing card) just so I can watch a film I
recorded on Sky+ last night. Of course, I now don't have time to watch the
film, and begrudge hanging up after waiting so long.

Does anyone know a quick way of contacting Sky to find out the PIN?

0800 2792000 Option 1 for Sky Customer services may not be quicker,
but at least it's FREE :o)


Thanks, free is good - this call has just eaten all the free minutes from my
mobile (and more) and still no answer after 1hr 43mins. Absolutely
disgraceful, and on the verge of cancelling as a result.

Which number did you ring them on? I used the usual number (08702 404040)
but selected Upgrade subscription from the options. Call got answered in a
few minutes (strange that!). I then said I needed my PIN number.

I rang them on 08702 404040 and didn't choose anything. I tried on another
line going to the same number, and choosing the PIN option and was
so-helpfully told my call would be answered within 113 minutes! I then rang
through again on the 0800 number given by ^^artnada^^ (thanks for that), and
it was "just" 25 minutes to get through to someone. I hope I don't need to
call Sky again, what a nightmare! I don't even have the time now to watch
the film from last night that I wanted to! :-(

A mate of mine spent an hour waiting for Customer Services a week ago. I
called to order a Sky installation and it was answered in 2 or 3 rings.
They are almost a monopoly who have us by the ********!

Yep. 08702 also free (minutes) on my O2 contract phone.
