SKY + Box and Installation for £49

Have read the FAQ and reviewed messages so apologies if I have missed the
information I require.

I have seen a few listings on ebay offering to sell information to get sky+
for £49 including the sky+ box and installation and without the need to do
the multiroom thing which I don't need. Anyone have the information on how
to do this or is it junk?

thanks in advance

Tony

Yes, apparently its done by threatening to leave.

Most people have phoned Sky and asked to be put through to the cancellations/retention department.

Once there complain that you are thinking of cancelling Sky because you are outraged that new customers are able to get Sky+ for less than existing customers.

Works 99% of the time.

Check out the AV Forums and the Digital Spy Forums which have lots of
details of how to do it.

SKY + Box and Installation for £49

Or as happened to me I got the reduced price installation but only for £65.
I could have hung on for the £49 but after 36 minutes of bartering I was
losing the will to live. However, £65 for a brand new sky+ box including
installation is much better than the £199 plus £60 which is where we started
from. Eventually got this down to £99 when I had spoken to 4 different
people and finally ended up on the £65 which I am happy about. Being
installed Friday, hats off to them. And thanks for the help on this
newsgroup!!

cheers

My wife has multiroom which I use in my study with an old Pace box. I
rang Sky and said I wanted the £49 Sky+. Droid said, its £99. I said,
but its on the Sky website for £49. Oh, we don't look after that site.
But its Sky.com!
OK, you can have it at £49 (inc installation)!
Being installed in about an hour (rang last Friday).
If you don't ask, you don't get!
