Didn't realise this...

I added Sky Sports to my subscription @ £6 per month extra. I already have
Movies.

Received a letter today stating that, as I now subscribe to m ore than one
premium channel, my Sky+ subscription is free.

Therefore, I get Sky Sports plus save £4 every month!

I don't know how long this has been the case?

Sky+ subs have been waived for ages if you take two or more premium choices

Bugger, if only I'd taken more notice!

If you were on SKY Movies World (SM1-9, Cinema1+2 plus Disney)
then you would have already been entitled to the SKY+ fee being waived.
If you just had SM1 or SM2 then you would have still been paying
the extra tenner for SKY+.

The bundled deal started Sept 2003 if memory serves:)

I have all the Movies (World) - so why would I get a letter if I were
already saving the £10? I also have a 2nd standard box sub for which the
£10 fee is waived (as I have Sky +) - would this make any difference?

There are two £10 fees which are applicable to your setup,
SKY+ and multiroom.

The SKY+ fee should have been waived since you were a SKYmovies
world subscriber (which counts as 2 premium channels) and the £10 for
the multiroom would have still been required, that is not waived under
any circumstances.

It sounds like you were paying the right amount but for the wrong reason:)

Admin cock-up perhaps and your account was being credited the £10 but
it was listed under the multiroom perhaps.

You were paying £46 and now they are going to bill you £42.50 for SKYworld,
SKY+ and multiroom, is that right?

I'm tired and going to bed - I'll find out how much I was/am paying and post
it tomorrow...

I suspect that he was paying the right amount for the right reason but
didn't realise what he was paying for.

I have Sky+ and pay £32 per month for Family, Movies(even numbers only)
and Sports 1 . I would rather have Family and Sky Cinemas 1 & 2 without
the other movies and Sport. Is this possible?

Didn't realise this...

Right, my last bill was for £46.00

This covered everything including all movies but not Sports.
+
SkyPlus
+
1 multiroom box.

I have now added Sports, which they said would be £6.00 extra. Two days
after adding Sports, I get a letter saying my Sky+ sub is now free (was £10
(as I stated above)).
Guess I'll wait and see what my bill will be next month...

PS: when I got Sky+, Sky definately told me I was now to get some sort of
deal (discount) on my (already existing) multiroom. Maybe I've finally
reached the age where I get confused over such things and can't use the
microwave or change my ringtone.
