Why on earth did Channel 4 sign a contract so long ago that legally obliges
them to have their channels as part of Sky's subscription packages!?

I have a general gripe about paying via my sub for any channel which is FTA
on Freeview. And it happens a lot! But it's all been said before I guess.

I think there are 15 of them:

ITV1
Channel 4
Channel 5
ITV2
Sky Travel
E4
E4 +1
More 4
UKTV Bright Ideas
FTN (Flextech Television Network)
abc1
Sky Sports News
The Music Factory (MTV)
The Hits
UKTV History

Corrections welcome.

ITV1, ITV2, CH4, CH5 are available FTV.

I think he means FTA channels.

Simple to check really just by taking the viewing card out.

Because the people who run TV companies don't have a clue about how
technology, encryption, Sky and the broadcasting industry actually
works.

They are rather good at buying designer goods and attending champagne
lunches though.

At quick glance at the history of digital satellite in the UK will
reveal nothing but a catalogue of errors and incompetence on the part
of just about everyone who has dealings with Murdoch but who doesn't
work for him. And those who work for him aren't much better.
