Sky+ & Multiroom

I'm having Sky+ installed Thursday and will be having my existing Panasonic
box re-located into my daughter's bedroom.

I realise that the additional box will also need to be connected to the
phone line, my question is, does the installer run this cable or is this up
to me to provide prior to installation?

Good news : They will do the cable run

Bad news : They're not too fussy how they do it. Probably tacked to the
skirting around the room and all the way up the stairs, over door frames
if necessary. Surface mounted.

That's what they tried on mine. I asked the "engineer" to run it so he
could complete the installation, leave it loose and add a few metres so
I could run it under carpets and run through walls (rather than over
door frames) after he'd gone.

For Sky's phone line connection, I believe "officially" you're supposed
to provide all necessary extra phone wiring before Sky will connect,
but in fact most installers will put in the additional wiring for you.

PS, if you go to a Pound Shop, long (15m) telephone cables are
sometimes available for =A31.
