Returning Motorola 5100

Piece of JUNK!
I took a day off of work and spent the entire morning and afternoon working
with Cox Cable (Omaha) trying to get the 5100 to work. They had no clue how
to get this thing up and running. They couldn't get a signal to activate
it. Cox didn't even know what promotions the local retailers are offering.
I spent 4 1/2 hours on the phone with Cox Cable.

This morning the Moto 5100 is getting packed up and returned to Best Buy.
Maybe I'll consider getting the 6100 or 6200 once its out. Hopefully by
then Cox Cable and local retailers will know what the hell they are doing.

Don't count on retailers like BB ever knowing what the hell they are doing.
Not likely to happen with cable companies in most cases.

Come over to Nebraska Furniture Mart. I'll get you set up correctly.

I had to run a dedicated line from the 5100 to the primary [outside]
splitter to get mine to work. Guess it doesn't get along with old cables and
splitters all over the place. :-)
