Live Pause probs

Hi all,
since the latest SW upgrade by sky my plud box is suffering from probs with
live pause and instant rewind.

Am I alone?

when live pause is pressed the pause symbol comes up on screen and the words
LIVE PAUSE but program keeps running for about thirty seconds then it pauses
however when i let it stay paused for a minute then UNpause it nothing
happens....

also instant REW isnt working at all...

ive checked all settings and everything is as it should be with instant REW
set to 15mins as before.

Ive had my plus box for a good while now over a year and have a 250GB HDD
inside since about a week after I got the box and the problems above have
never been an issue.

Ive tried 2 forced upgrades to see if at is a problem for which a patch or
something has been found. I now wish I could do a forced downgrade.

Thank you sky for f*****g up my box.

Steven

Nope, had that a few times since the upgrade, power cycling seemed to fix

Makes me glad I don't have Sky+!

WTF don't they beta-test their software properly though?

I could understand an obscure bug slipping through, but something as
fundamental as live-pause??

Not that I'm defending Sky, but it sounds like it IS an obscure bug. If it
is only affecting a tiny number of people (which I'm sure it must be or
there would be a lot more discussion about it -- it's not a problem on my
box) then that in itself makes it sound pretty obscure.

I checked my father in laws box todey and his has the same prob, both
are
PACE boxes.

However power cycling does take the box out of the live pause (icon
stuck on
screen) mode but does not remedy the problem therefore even after a
power
cycle the bug still exists and live pause and instant rewind still do
not
work.

tonight the box switched itself off just before the 9 o clock news and
wouldnt switch back on, I had to do a forced upgrade in order to get
the
damn thing to work.

was going to ring sky tomorrow but know id get a standard response. "
sorry
sir but we have had NO complaints at all"

I have also had a problem with live pause since the upgrade :-(
A power down and re-boot seems to fix it for a period of time.

I had the same problem, and just did the planner rebuild, in the engineers
menu, and haven't had any problems since.

I have the same problem and numerous power downs isn't helping. Will a
planner rebuild make me loose anything in my recorded programmes?

thanks in advance

No, and apparently it will fix the problem but only temporarily.

oh ;-( And presumably because not many of us have it as a problem Sky
isn't going to be much help? I got lost in the phone system last week
and was in a queue for 30mins and called up on our other line and went
straight through! I also have problems as I cannot understand the
accents of the people ;0(( Hopefully it will sort itself out.

thanks again
