I sent an email Tto Unbeatable (also known as capital Sound and Vision) enquiring about the availability of an item and received this reply. CAPITAL SOUND & VISION LTD IN ADMINISTRATION Mr A D Nygate and Mr S Bannon of BDO Stoy Hayward LLP, 8 Baker Street, London, W1U 3LL were appointed joint administrators of the above named company on 19th August 2005. If you have any enquiries reference orders that you have already placed for goods, please contact Mr. Freddie Brudenell at the above address. Website's offline as well: http://www.unbeatable.co.uk/ It says "24th August 2005 This site is temporarily unavailable while we carry out major updates." but in light of your email it looks like it's goodbye unbeatable.co.uk. A shame really, because on some products they tended to be the cheapest. -- Steve - www.digitalradiotech.co.uk - Digital Radio News & Info Find the cheapest Freeview, DAB & MP3 Player Prices: http://www.digitalradiotech.co.uk/fr..._receivers.htm http://www.digitalradiotech.co.uk/da...tal_radios.htm http://www.digitalradiotech.co.uk/mp...rs_1GB-5GB.htm http://www.digitalradiotech.co.uk/mp...e_capacity.htm |

Might be that once the administrators have verified stock assets they might look to dispose of some of it quickly via the shops... - Basil |

It had a lot less stock than usual - and even before that had seemed to be rather run down. But I was able to get 5 DVD-RAM disks for £9.98 (£12.99 in Argos). Can't say that I'm in the least surprised to hear that it is in administration. -- Jeff (cut "thetape" to reply) |

It was all shuttered up and the shop look empty. This info explains it. |

CAPITAL SOUND & VISION LTD IN ADMINISTRATION Strictly speaking Administration and Liquidation are different. Administrators take over the running of a company. They may be able to get it back on an even keel and heading for profit. Alternatively they may have to close it down and liquidate the assets to pay off the creditors (with assorted tax collectors jockeying for the head of the queue!). It is very probably right to be pessimistic in this cae. -- Peter Duncanson UK |
