Lost Freeview programmes

Because ITV2 was breaking up and distorted, I did a set up- manual tune to
replace all existing prog's, now I don't have ITV2 ITV3 or Channel 4
I have a Ferguson set top box, my postcode is in the LS20 area if that
helps.

I have repeated the seqence three or four times with no luck.
If I go into service prog's the missing channels are not listed.

Any ideas, could my box be faulty ? I have had it two years now.

It 'could' be faulty, be its more likely to be a combination of summer
foliage (on the trees) and rain, causing lack of signal, enough to stop your
box finding the channels on a rescan. Has it been raining where you are?
The ITV channels are usually first to be affected.

Have you tried just rescanning for the specific multiplex (UHF channel)?
(Most boxes let you do that I believe.) That might fix it or maybe show that
the signal is just too weak.

try a complete automatic rescan.

otherwise, if your reception is marginal, the box might sometimes not
"see" some channels. Just a tiny change in received signals can make
that difference (for example, as caused by day/night conditions).

See my guide at
http://www.satellites.co.uk/php-bin/...ad.php?t=43646 .

Thanks I am printing it out at the mo' :-)

I have done a complete automatic tune, now all prog's are back, but it is
breaking up on ITV1 ITV2 Channel 4 and E4, so could it be an ariel problem
do you think ? all the other prog's are perfectly ok.
