No signal on Input 2 is always a sign of a faulty hard drive. If it was the cable or LNB the problem would swap around when you swapped the cables. Janice As Jomtien pointed out, don't forget that the second tuner is a distinct possibility. The pair of 'ZIF" tuners fitted to the Pace Ver 1 boxes is the same as fitted in the 2500 series Digiboxes. These tuners are notoriously unreliable. Fortunately, from an engineers perspective, they are amongst the easiest PCB mounted tuner in the industry to replace. -- Graham. %Profound_observation% |
You were both right! Swapped the HD out with the original 40GB one,
and everything is fine now. Strangely enough the 250GB HD is showing up as ok on my PC Not so strange if the size / type of the hd disk Sky+ box is not compatible. Well, it was working just fine almost a year now... no idea why it decided to call it quits after so long... |
