Sky + query

HI

I was thinking of getting a sky+ box fitted for 199UKP & cheap
installation as I do not want the multiroom option.
So will I escape the £10 a month for a sky+ subscription or is that only
if you get it from sky on a deal??

Cheers

Pete

Depends on what viewing you subscribe to, not your installation deal.

"If you receive more than one Sky premium channel i.e Sky Sports 1 & 2 and
Sky Movies 1 & 2, the Sky+ subscription is free (otherwise £10 a month)"

£199!!! I have seen it offered by BT for as low as £89. Sky were only
asking for £99.

& cheap
installation as I do not want the multiroom option.

Not needed.

You need to subscribe to Sky D and get at least a couple of premium services
to avoid the £10 charge and so as not to pay nearly £200.

So is there NO way to avoid the £10 a month for a sky + subscription.
I thought if I purchased a Sky+ box outright I could use it without a
subscription
or am I wrong in that assumption ??

As it is I am only on the family package i.e.. NO premium channels.

Cheers

Pete

Yes, you are wrong. There is no way to use the Sky+ functions without
paying one way or another.

I do not think that it is possible to buy it outright for this amount.

I believe that for the thing to work, you must subscribe to premium
channels, or cough up £10 per month.
