E4 just launched but whole mux has broken up!
I'm watching the E4 launch as I type & as soon as it opened, the
picture is breaking up! I checked other stations on same mux & all are breaking up. Signal quality is still 100%. Watching off Sandy Heath. Marky P. |

This is what I would call "Impact Testing" Put something live and wait for the complaints. "Incoming" Doc |

It's ok, all normal now. Well, nearly ... E4 in 14 has audio+video, but every few seconds flicks to "service unavailable" then comes straight back, seems like a glitch in there somewhere .. E4+1 on 39 is OK 705 has the BB MHEG with either bars+tone or the E4 adverts behind it |
Unless you count intermittent bouts of destruction of the test match
commentary on Ch 4 - do I presume the same mux? "Marky P" wrote in message ... It's ok, all normal now. |

E4 on Sutton Coldfield is labeled "Top up TV new channel". Ooops! is that on LCN49 or LCN14? |

It's at number 14 on my Sony IDTV. Re-tuned it this afternoon just before I posted. I haven't tried 49. I did notice that the MHEG on 49 was just the "old" TUTV MHEG from 14 shunted to a different slot, it still mentioned E4, but now that it is in it's timwslot, the (still) video it is playing mentions the mystery new channel. E4 on 14 is still playing trick on my Sony IDTV, Waltham TX, it usually receives audio+video OK, but the "banner" keeps flicking between the now/next info, a blank field and "not available", very annoying, at least it doesn't happen on E4+1 Sometimes on tuning into E4 the video+audio tune in ok at first, then after a few seconds a black MHEG + silence appears to replace it Also I've had about four occasions where a TUTV channel refused to decrypt and just displays scrambled as though there is no CAM/CARD present. I suppose quite a lot had to be co-ordinated today between C4 and TUTV, shame it hasn't *quite* settled down yet. |
