Problem with Remore for Quattro

I have a Btech Quattro less than 2 years old. Suddenly the RI signal
emitted from the remote has become very weak (I have an eye thing that
picks up all IR presses in the room as a red light) and shows only very
dimly when any of the Quattro remote keys are pressed.

It cannot be the remote itself as the learning all-in-one remote I
programmed some time ago with the Quattro remote also shows the same
very weak signal.

The box switches fine manually and it is not the batteries.

Anyone any idea what could be going on here?

have you any flourescent lighting on? have you re-arranged your room?

something may be interfering with the light emitted from the control.

Nope. Nothing new. The really strange thing is that it is happening
to both remote controls.

But if that was all that was wrong the remotes would still work. This
is a very curious thing.
