Recording FreeView and Freesat channels without any additional costs.

Are there any alternatives to sky+, in other words, I'm aware of other
different makes and models of satellite receivers with built in hard disks,
would they be able to receive / comprehend the on screen schedule of
listings menus provided by sky and record the FreeView channels, including
ITV 1, Ch4 (Freesat) with out a subscription to sky.

I'm only interested in recording FreeView and Freesat channels without any
additional costs.

Thanks,
Andy

What do the current crop of Freeview DTT PVRs not provide that you need?

e.g. the Fusion FVRT100 or Thomson DHD4000?
