So, what's the prize this time for the person who finds 10 bugs first?

My Pannie '30 box got upgraded over Wednesday night/Thursday morning,
but my Sony box seems as-is.

I've set the on-screen timeout option, but so far haven't seen a red dot
to see what happens - damn! Here's the odd thing though - my Pannie
seems about 30% faster since the upgrade - even my wife noticed it. The
graphics seem slightly different too. I dunno if it's to do with the
software upgrade or simply that it rebooted the box - I can't remember
the last time the box was power-cycled.

Not doubting you, but I'm astonished that any Panasonic boxes have it at
all yet. All the other rollouts Sky did have been done in a strict
order, like this list from last year:
http://forum.digitalspy.co.uk/board/...&postcount=232
My Pace "Colt" digibox (9F07) doesn't have it yet, after a reboot to
check. Note also that all those dates are Tuesdays, Wednesdays or
Thursdays so I'm not expecting anything to change until next week now.

I don't understand the problem? BBC News 24 and Sky News both have
permanent red dots you can use to test it with!

True, but I found out that my box had been upgraded just as I was off to
bed. News channels weren't on my list of stuff to watch at that time,
but now that you mention it, I'll it check-out later tonight.

Indeed ! One positive thing I've noticed is that the red dot doesn't
return after bringing up the N+N banner (after the red dot has been
initially extinguished on a particular channel)

I've had my box in standby having downloaded new software on a Sunday
morning before.

Worse still with Sky+ I've set a programme to record and been watching
it...The box has reset and screwed up the recording.
Perhaps the next *update* should include an *update software* section on the
boxes settings menu?

That would be too sensible, this is Sky we're talking about.

IYAM Sky should be investigated by the relevant organisation because
they're a monopoly on the market. How many other British satellite TV
operators do you know of?

Well, I'd Say BBC, UKTV Network and a couple of others but sadly all prefer
to be lazy and let sky do everything for them..Either that or over-ruled by
sky NOT to take their own route :-(

I found it amazing soonever the BBC went FTA Sky *Politely imformed* whoever
make that *24* crap that All Europe could view it and NICELY sky got the
rights to future series stuffing the BBC again.
There's a pretty long list of Sky dirty tricks but with Murdoch running half
the darned press, nothing can be said by governments as you could bet the
front page of The Sun and other nasty rags would headline the said mp's as
*Gay* or *Perverts* or some made up ****e the public think is true!

I'd vote for a government that IS'NT ruled by Newspapers,Murdoch and his
cronies.

Makes me wonder what Michael Jackson has said to Murdoch to be in so much
**** ;-)

(Evidently the Criminals sent to Australia years ago have returned to the UK
still up to their old tricks)

Another laughable programme was the *tonight with T.M* The Bank Chip and pin
cards being still EASY to clone....Perhaps they should've got NDS to make
em' !!

The cracking of that card alone would screw Sky for a while
