Then we may as well stay with the five channels then and kick this
digital lot back to where it came from.

If it were not for the fact they may eventaully turn it off, then true!

so what did you expect to get on all the extras, the potters wheel
again?)

I expected to get something a bit better, after all, if we got to fork
out for a digital box, we should get something for our money.

That is why you hear them bleeting on about "choice" and not "quality".

For goodness sake, stop picking people up on their grammar or
spelling,

As for goodness, I am doing you a good turn by educating you and not
expecting either payment or thanks.

You really are a sad little troll, and how deluded to think that you are
educating people with your pedantic remarks.

Thank you! Being called a pedant indicates that you accept that I am not
wrong.

What gives you the right to
criticise,

That is easy to answer. I was simply responding in kind! The OP was
criticising the broadcast content of 'ITV4' even though it has not yet
broadcast a single thing. Hence, if he is entitled to criticise, then so
am
I of him. Beams and motes come to mind.

are you the official upholder of the english language,

We all are. By the way, it is 'English'.

If you
really want to do a good turn keep your trite comments to yourself.

I could respond with your last comment.

congratulations ! u win the prize 4 pedantic of the month 4 march, we will
send u the prize if you give us a postal addy, nup its ok we no where u
live.
this months prize will be of particular interest to the english lang ped
as it has plenty of openings for hot air, it is an inflatible plastic
companion, we thought u would like this as it will ease the strain on your
wrist.
ps:
english is a construct of many languages starting from low german (and
incorporating church latin,old norse,danish,norman french,latin&greek,
plus others) and as such is constantly evolving, it has not and never will
be a pure language.
Pleeze enjoy ure gift.

Since you seem determined to run in "perfection mode" perhaps
you should read this:
http://www.netmeister.org/news/learn2quote.html

It's obviously necessary.

Oh and by the way: an entirely appropriate definition of 'pedant' and one
which you might not be so pleased to confer upon yourself is:

Pedant, n.
One who puts on an air of learning; one who makes a vain
display of learning; a pretender to superior knowledge.

Surely the endless showing of "the planets funniest animals" makes the
channel worthwhile, I mean you just can't stop laughing at seeing a cat fall
into a flip top bin no matter how many times you see it now can you?! ;-)

I agree absolutely with the above but it depends on your age and ITV3 is
not intended for the the little pop twinkies but the grey and wealthy
oldies.

The repeats of Chicago Hope and The Practice make the channel worth while
for me. I don't think I've ever watched anything on ITV2 for more than a
couple of minutes.

Why the intended insult?

So tell me something that I do not know!

How is any of the 'English' that you have written, relevant?

Should that not be "payment or gratitude"?

No, if I had wanted to type that I would have.

Neither. It is you who thinks it.

I did not ask for help, that is the difference.
