As the slots come available in June they do have some time to aquire
contracts / change contracts where nessaccery, even if they start with
limited hours.

especially one thats not playing Hollywood crap every night of the week

It does a bit of that. I quite fancy a channel to provide it on a
full time basis.

Six of one half a dozen of another. ABC1 seems to be a rehashing of the
worst style of US TV station. ITV just seems to be emulating them slightly
less successfully (excluding ITV3 which I think is worth watching from time
to time).

I agree absolutely with the above but it depends on your age and ITV3 is not
intended for the the little pop twinkies but the grey and wealthy oldies.

How does "wealthy" come into it?

Watching ITV3 costs just the same as watching ITV2.

According to UKTV History today Shrewsbury is in Staffordshire.
