'Peak' inicator Marantz SR4500/DVD
 

I've got a Marantz SR4500 receiver and when I use it with a DVD player
(connected via digital coax) the 'Peak' indicator lights continuously. The
signal seems ok and there is no audible distortion. The light comes on
whenever I power up the DVD player and stays on until I power it down.

Marantz UK have not been able to shed any light on this, their view is that
it should only come on when connected via analogue (and there is no analogue
connection). Has anyone else noticed this - or is it a fault with mine?
