Scart -> HDMI

Is there such a cable. Looking at how to wire the house at the moment.
Wouldn't mine putting in HDMI cables to future proof, but am I also going to
have to run Composte / RGB Scart lines as well or can I just convert it. I
know can go - RGB Scart - VGA - DVI-A - HDMI ??

Can't be done without some intermediate hardware. Scart is an analogue
feed, HDMI digital. Some sort of converter/upscaler would be necessary.

i don't see the point at the end of the day to be honest! it will still be a
crap analogue signal going to HDMI?

The whole point would be for it to be wired for the future without having to
run a load of cables.
Current projector does not support HDMI but I am pretty sure the next one
will.

Why run 2 cables if 1 will do the same job.

As I have found out else where HDMI is only DVI-D compatible no DVI-A

Put conduit in if you can and a few draw strings. Then you can pull
cable as and when.

The copper will do the same job but the connectors won't. Plus the
number of core will vary. You could pull a large multi-core cable
with individually shielded cores and wire up your own connectors I
guess!

Perhaps that's waiting for the next cable 'standard'!
