need an inexpensive 5.1 system -- really inexpensive
I need a 5.1 home theater in a box for a small room and it's only temporary
so I don't want to spend much on it. I'd prefer something like an Onkyo or some such but it's just not worth the cost for various reason that aren't worth going into here. Does anyone have any experience with the sub-$150 sets that Circuit City, Walmart, etc. sell? I just want something that will play DVDs and digital cable in 5.1 surround. I won't be hooking up a VCR, X-Box or anything like that and I'm not interested in playing music through it. tbob |

They maybe slightly better quality than the no-name walmart 5.1 systems. -- Lucas Tam ) Please delete "REMOVE" from the e-mail address when replying. http://members.ebay.com/aboutme/coolspot18/ |
If you get a The Digital Decoder from Creative, The Klipsch Promedia Ultra
is probably the best choise. But thats about $500 total, may be out of your price range. Im telling you now, Dont expect pleasureable sound from anything that comes in a box. I tolerate my Klipsch promedia's, and thats after heard Logitech and Cambridge setup that I chose this. "Lucas Tam" wrote in message .. .
